Earnings ReportTOYOTA INDUSTRIES CORPORATION <6201> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) at noon (11:40) on October 31st. The consolidated net income for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) dropped 38.2% from the same period last year to 91.1 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated net income has decreased 25.0%, from the previous forecast of 240 billion yen to 180 billion yen (compared to 262 billion yen in the previous period), leading to an increase in the profit decline rate from 8.5% to 31.4%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income for the October to March period (second half) is expected to decrease 22.6% from the same period last year to 88.8 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated net income/loss turned to a loss of 11.3 billion yen (compared to a profit of 36.2 billion yen in the same period last year). The operating profit/loss margin drastically worsened from 5.9% in the same period last year to -1.4%.
