Earnings ReportKYOCERA CORPORATION <6971> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) after the market closed on October 30th (15:30). The consolidated net income for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) expanded 55.5 billion yen, an increase 53.9% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated net income has been revised upward 34.8%, from the previous forecast of 70.5 billion yen to 95.0 billion yen (compared to 24.0 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 2.9 times to 3.9 times.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income/loss for the October to March period (second half) is expected to turn into a profit of 39.4 billion yen (compared to a loss of 11.9 billion yen in the same period last year).
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated net income/loss turned to a profit of 18.3 billion yen (compared to a loss of 0.71 billion yen in the same period last year). The operating profit margin improved from 3.4% in the same period last year to 4.6%.
