The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2026 (March to August) dropped 34.6% from the same period last year to 51 million yen. Progress toward the full-year plan of 260 million yen was 19.6%, also falling below the five-year average of 41.5%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the September to February period (second half) is expected to turn into a profit of 209 million yen (compared to a loss of 170 million yen in the same period last year).
In the most recent three-month period, from June to August (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit surged 5.9 times that of the same period last year, reaching 95 million yen. The operating profit margin improved from 0.6% in the same period last year to 2.3%.
