The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2026 (March to August) decreased 13.7% from the same period last year to 44 million yen. Progress toward the full-year plan of 200 million yen was 22.0%, also falling below the five-year average of 49.5%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the September to February period (second half) is expected to nearly flat at 156 million yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from June to August (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit/loss turned to a profit of 5 million yen (compared to a loss of 42 million yen in the same period last year). However, the operating profit/loss margin remained almost flat, changing from -0.5% in the same period last year to -0.6%.
