PIALA, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 30%

PIALA INC. <7044> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on August 14th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2025 (January to June) turned into a profit of 213 million yen (compared to a loss of 153 million yen in the same period last year), exceeded the previous forecast of 133 million yen.

In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 30.5%, from the previous forecast of 243 million yen to 317 million yen (compared to a loss of 132 million yen in the previous period).

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the July to December period (second half) is expected to surge 5.0 times that of the same period last year, reaching 104 million yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from April to June (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit/loss turned to a profit of 17 million yen (compared to a loss of 104 million yen in the same period last year). The operating profit/loss margin significantly improved from -3.9% in the same period last year to -0.2%.
