Earnings ReportKyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. <4151> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) after the market closed on July 31st (15:30). The consolidated net income for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2025 (January to June) significantly dropped 56.8% from the same period last year to 16.3 billion yen. Progress toward the full-year plan of 57.0 billion yen was 28.6%, also falling below the five-year average of 52.4%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income for the July to December period (second half) is expected to expand 84.1% from the same period last year, reaching 40.6 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from April to June (2Q), the consolidated net income significantly dropped to 10.1 billion yen, a 56.1% decrease compared to the same period last year.
