Earnings ReportNew Japan Chemical Co., Ltd. <4406> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on May 14th (15:40). The consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending March 2025 expanded 53.2% from the previous period to 1.19 billion yen. However, for the fiscal year ending March 2026, the consolidated ordinary profit is expected to drop by 37.2% from the previous period to 0.75 billion yen.
At the same time, the company increased the annual dividend for the previous term from 3 yen to 4 yen (compared to no dividend in the prior term), and has decided to continue with a dividend of 4 yen for the current term as well.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 0.37 billion yen, a 22.3% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin drastically worsened from 5.2% in the same period last year to 2.0%.
