AXELL, 34% Decrease in Ordinary Profit for The Current Fiscal Year, Despite Last Fiscal Year's Dividend Increase, This Fiscal Year to Decrease Dividend

Earnings ReportAXELL CORPORATION <6730> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on May 9th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending March 2025 decreased 37.0% from the previous period to 1.54 billion yen. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, the consolidated ordinary profit is expected to drop by 33.9% from the previous period to 1.02 billion yen.
At the same time, the company increased the annual dividend for the previous term from 41 yen to 45 yen (compared to 81 yen in the prior term), and has decided to reduce the dividend this fiscal year to 33 yen, a decrease of 12 yen from the previous fiscal year.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated ordinary profit dropped to 0.21 billion yen, a 33.9% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin drastically worsened from 8.0% in the same period last year to 4.8%.
