inspec, The Current Fiscal Year Net Income Revised Downward to a Loss, Dividend Continues No Dividend Policy

Earnings Reportinspec Inc. <6656> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on March 14th (15:30). The net loss (non-consolidated) for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending April 2025 (May 2024 to January 2025) was a reduced loss of 322 million yen (compared to a loss of 460 million yen in the same period last year).
However, the full-year net income/loss has been revised downward from an expected profit of 80 million yen to a loss of 150 million yen (compared to a loss of 353 million yen in the previous period), turning to a loss outlook.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the downward revision, our estimate of the net income/loss for the November to April period (2H) has been revised downward from an expected profit of 70 million yen to a loss of 160 million yen (compared to a profit of 10 million yen in the same period of the previous year), turning to a loss outlook.
At the same time, the plan to pay a year-end lump-sum dividend of 3 yen has been abandoned, and the policy has been set to continue with no dividends.
In the most recent three-month period, from November to January (3Q), the net loss expanded to a loss of 332 million yen (compared to a loss of 97 million yen in the same period last year). However, the operating profit/loss margin drastically improved from -23.8% in the same period last year to -16.0%.
