Trial Holdings, First Half Ordinary Profit Revised Downward to an Unexpected 11%Decrease

Earnings ReportTrial Holdings Inc. <141A> [TSE Growth] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 13th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending June 2025 (July to December) decreased 11.3% from the same period last year to 10.6 billion yen, resulting in a decrease in profits compared to the previous forecast of a 6.3% increase.
The progress rate toward the full-year plan of 23.8 billion yen was 44.6%, also falling below the same period of the previous year of 60.5%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the January to June period (2H) is expected to expand 68.8% from the same period last year, reaching 13.1 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 5.35 billion yen, a 13.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 3.2% in the same period last year to 2.3%.
