NGK INSULATORS,LTD. <5333> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on January 31st (15:40). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to December) increased 29.4% from the same period last year, reaching 61.4 billion yen. The progress rate toward the full-year plan of 74 billion yen was 83.0%, also surpassing the five-year average of 77.2%.

Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the January to March period (4Q) is expected to decrease 19.3% from the same period last year to 12.5 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit grew 24.5% from the same period last year, reaching 23 billion yen. The operating profit margin rose from 12.8% in the same period last year to 14.5%.
