Earnings ReportADVANTEST CORPORATION <6857> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) after the market closed on January 29th (15:30). The consolidated net income for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to December) surged 2.6 times that of the same period last year, reaching 121 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year consolidated net income has been revised upward 37.3%, from the previous forecast of 122 billion yen to 167 billion yen (compared to 62.2 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 95.9% to 2.7 times, reaches new record high for the first time in two terms.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated net income for the October to March period (2H) is expected to increase 86.4%, from the previous forecast of 52.6 billion yen to 98.1 billion yen (compared to 36.3 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), increasing the growth rate from 44.9% to 2.7 times.
At the same time, the company has decided to implement a annual dividend of 39 yen for the current fiscal year, which was previously undecided.
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated net income surged 2.4 times that of the same period last year, reaching 51.8 billion yen. The operating profit margin jumped from 20.1% in the same period last year to 31.8%.
