UMENOHANA CO.,LTD. <7604> [TSE Std] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on December 16th (13:30). The consolidated net income/loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending April 2025 (May to October) turned into a loss of 166 million yen (compared to a profit of 287 million yen in the same period last year), further increasing the deficit beyond the forecast of a loss of 78 million yen

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income for the November to April period (second half) is expected to decrease 20.1% from the same period last year to 586 million yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from August to October (2Q), the consolidated net income/loss turned to a loss of 234 million yen (compared to a profit of 61 million yen in the same period last year). The operating profit/loss margin worsened from -0.4% in the same period last year to -2.6%.
