Earnings ReportASKUL Corporation <2678> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on December 13th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending May 2025 (June to November) decreased 16.7% from the same period last year to 5.92 billion yen. The progress rate toward the full-year plan of 17.7 billion yen was 33.4%, also falling below the five-year average of 43.6%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the December to May period (second half) is expected to grow 23.1% from the same period last year, reaching 11.7 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from September to November (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 3.41 billion yen, a 22.1% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 3.7% in the same period last year to 2.9%.
