Hakuyosha Company,Ltd. <9731> [TSE-S] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on November 13th (15:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2024 (January to September) increased by 4.4% from the same period last year, reaching 2.01 billion yen. The progress rate against the 2.15 billion yen full-year plan was 93.6%, also surpassing the five-year average of 67.0%.

Based on the third-quarter cumulative performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to December period (4Q) is expected to drop by 38.0% from the same period last year to 137 million yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 927 million yen, a 10.0% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 8.3% in the same period last year to 7.7%.
