Earnings ReportKUBOTA CORPORATION <6326> [TSE-P] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) after the market closed on November 8th (15:30). The consolidated net income for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2024 (January to September) increased by 8.5% from the same period last year, reaching 197 billion yen.
However, the full-year consolidated net income has downwardly by 6.0%, from the previous forecast of 235 billion yen to 221 billion yen (compared to 238 billion yen in the previous period), leading to an increase in the profit decline rate from 1.4% to 7.3%.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the downward revision, our estimate of the consolidated net income for the July to December period (second half) has downwardly by 16.6%, from the previous forecast of 84.1 billion yen to 70.1 billion yen (compared to 109 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), leading to an increase in the profit decline rate from 23.2% to 36.0%.
At the same time, the company has decided to implement a annual dividend of 50 yen for the current fiscal year, which was previously undecided (compared to 48 yen in the prior term).
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (3Q), the consolidated net income decreased to 47.1 billion yen, a 12.0% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin decreased from 10.1% in the same period last year to 9.7%.
