NIPPON CHEMIPHAR CO., LTD. <4539> [TSE-S] announced its financial results after the market closed on October 31st (15:00). The consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to September) turned into a loss of 62 million yen (compared to a profit of 10 million yen in the same period last year).

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the October to March period (second half) is expected to turn into a profit of 162 million yen (compared to a loss of 229 million yen in the same period last year).

In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary loss expanded to a loss of 223 million yen (compared to a loss of 101 million yen in the same period last year). However, the operating profit/loss margin significantly improved from -2.6% in the same period last year to 1.0%.
