HI-LEX CORPORATION <7279> [TSE-S] announced its financial results after the market closed on September 6th (15:15). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending October 2024 (November 2023 to July 2024) increased by 7.0% from the same period last year, reaching 3.03 billion yen. However, this progress accounts for 56.3% of the full-year plan of 5.4 billion yen, also falling below the five-year average of 103.4%.

Based on the third-quarter cumulative performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the August to October period (4Q) is expected to decrease by 5.1% from the same period last year to 2.36 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from May to July (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit significantly dropped to 1.05 billion yen, a 66.3% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 2.1% in the same period last year to 1.4%.
